Nike accused adidas of copying sneakers used at the Olympic Games


Two of the biggest manufacturers of sports equipment will play a battle in court.
The American Nike decided to open an action against the German adidas, its main competitor, with the accusation that he copied some shoes at the Olympic Games in London.

Nike, which launched in February the Flyknit shoes, found during the Games in London, similarities in the Adidas shoes, and went to court.

Nike filed a lawsuit in Germany accusing adidas of 'patent infringement' and claiming that the sneaker 'Adizero primeknit', launched by adidas in July, is a copy of your product.

In the lawsuit, Nike maintains that its business is based on the exclusivity of its products and, therefore, the competitor must be punished.

Nike, Rooney and Twitter

Nike lost the battle against a decision by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA),  which banned  a tweet from soccer player Wayne Rooney because the message was not clearly identified as advertising.

The campaign, which took place on January 1 this year, showed athletes sponsored by Nike talking about resolutions for the next 12 months as part of the Make It Count campaign .

On this day, Wayne Rooney, who has nearly 5 million followers on twitter, wrote "My resolution - to start the year as a champion, and finish the year as champion," followed by the hashtag # makeitcount and a link to the Nike campaign.

Nike takes advantage of the Greek crisis

Nike keeps support to Lance Armstrong

The U.S. sporting goods manufacturer Nike renewed, this Friday, its support to Lance Armstrong, ensuring go "continue to support" the cycling champion accused of doping and its foundation against cancer.

Adidas beats Nike in London Olympic Games

Adidas, number two in the sports equipment industry, beats U.S. and worldwide leader Nike in the  London Olympics (London 2012).



The result of the competition between the two brands can be accounted by the number of athletes (medals) appointed by each of the manufacturers.

Nike donates uniforms to Egyptians not have to use imitations

The Egyptian team in the London Olympics will not have to use imitations made in China!

Nike said Friday it will donate clothing to Egyptians athletes . The announcement came two days later, after the executive director of the Egyptian Olympic Committee had to use imitations claimed that real clothes it was too expensive.

"We are pleased that these athletes can enjoy the highest quality of a genuine Nike product," Said the company  in a statement.

Maj. Gen. Ahmed Fouly, Egypt's head of mission in London, said they had offered to pay for the clothes, but Nike insisted it's free.

The Nike clothing, which costs $ 300 to $ 500 per athlete, must come to London on Saturday.

"This is good news. We thank you for this gesture," said Fouly,

Nike states that the 2012 European jerseys are safe
